Yes, it's somewhat similar to LFSTweak, in that you can edit the performance of the cars. You can only do it by cartype though, not individual cars. It's not some Nitrous thingy that you just hit a button and go hyperspeed. It's quite fun to use offline, the FXO GTR handles 950hp beautifully

I don't think he's mad that it's restricting him, it's just pretty funny that he has to wait One second to post, hehe.

if you have autocluch on, you can still use the clutch whenever you want, just push it in. All autoclutch does for you is clutch during shifts.

You can also clutchless shift in Live for Speed, you just have to match the revs perfectly. It's faster just to use the clutch, plus what's the point of having a clutch pedal if you never use it? If you don't want to use the clutch, just turn autoclutch on, you don't gain anything by having it off.

I thought my FF strength was low compared to most people, but if I turn it up that high, it can rip the wheel right off my desk LOL.
Question for other DFP users.

What % force feedback, and what degree rotation do you use?
Profiler Settings
Rotation = 720 degrees
Force Feedback strength = 100%
Centering spring off

In Game
Rotation = 720
FFB strength = 20-25%

Yes, I agree, but I can't drive the XRT fast enough to keep up with the FXOs, so I guess if you can't beat them, join them.....

Hey Bob, great setups, the FZ50 is a joy to drive now that I can actually keep it pointed the right direction. I did have one comment. Your FXO Turbo setup feels very loose and nervous to me, I can barely keep it going the right direction under braking, I've even lost the tail in full throttle sweepers, it's very weird. I know it's not the car, because the FXO setup I normally use it 100% rock solid and very nailed down feeling, by contrast, that setup makes the FXO harder to drive than the XR Turbo for me. I dunno, maybe I'm weird, all the other setups are awesome

First off, I'd suggest using Bob Smith's easy race setups, they can be found here http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=279
It can be tough to learn to catch slides. I don't really know what car you're talking about, but especially in race cars, like the FZ50 GTR and the XR GTR, slides can be very tough to catch because the slicks break away so quickly. With practice, you'll be able to slide the tires and tell when they're about to regain grip again, just keep working at it

Quote from Vendetta :I wonder what the dog thought about his looks The person whoever took him in is very generous (probably not the right word to describe this, cant think of a word..)

Hehe, the dog had no idea what he looked like, he had cataracts, hence the freaky white eyes.

Quote from ColeusRattus :Do not ever compare any film to the original book, if you plan to enjoy it

That's why I never saw the film, I enjoyed the books far too much, and from what I've heard, the film is absolutely awful.

Quote from tristancliffe :.....Meaningless Tristian Spam.....

I actually think Tristian makes more meaningful posts than the vast majority of members here, he just makes a lot of them If you want to see spam, go to the Di.fm forums LOL, people with 20,000+ posts, posting 5 times in one thread saying "choooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!" LOL

Isn't that Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? As a sidenote, doesn't Marvin have red eyes? I'm pretty sure that's what it says in the book...

Chinese Crested Dogs are actually pretty cute, IMO. That was a rescue dog that had some serious health issues, my compliments to the owner for even taking him in, he could have easily been euthanized right at the shelter.

Here's what a "normal" Chinese Crested looks like, for anyone interested (They're born hairless, btw, that's not a clip.)

Did nobody look at the attachment I posted? That shows estimated percentages. For those too lazy to click it:

Something's screwy with that chart. I don't really think that almost have of the Finnish population has LFS either. I don't really get what that chart is trying to say.

Welcome to LFS. And yes, you will become addicted, and if you try to stop, you will go through withdrawl. (I know this firsthand, I can't play LFS on my laptop in college it really sucks.) But again, welcome, I'm sure you'll have fun

This actually looks more like a bug than anything, I have the exact same LOD settings as you, and I never EVER see square wheels, it's odd that you see them that close up, I think my old machine did that, but that was a 1 GHz P3 with a 32mb video card. Strange indeed

Don't get discouraged, you'll get better. For kb drifting, that wasn't too bad, it's hard to get big smooth lines with digital controls, keep working at it
